As an ADAS Calibration Technician at our fast-paced collision repair shop, you will be responsible for calibrating and resetting critical systems, such as airbags, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), sensors, and cameras, to manufacturer specifications. Your expertise ensures that vehicles are restored to full functionality, meeting OEM standards, and are safe for road use. By performing precise diagnostics and calibrations, this role supports the integrity of the repair process and enhances customer satisfaction, ensuring that vehicles leave the shop with all systems operating optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform calibration and resetting of electronic systems in vehicles, including airbags, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, and other ADAS features, after collision repairs.
Use diagnostic tools to perform pre- and post-repair scans to ensure all vehicle systems are functioning correctly and reset systems to factory specifications.
Calibrate advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including cameras, sensors, radar, and other safety technologies, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Maintain detailed records of calibrations, repairs, and system diagnostics for customer reports and insurance purposes.
Explain calibration procedures and provide recommendations to customers or estimators regarding vehicle functionality and safety after repairs.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to calibration or malfunctioning systems after repairs.
Perform test drives and on-road validation to ensure that the calibrated systems are functioning correctly, with an emphasis on safety, drivability, and performance.
Utilize specialized calibration and diagnostic tools (e.g., scan tools, OEM calibration software, ADAS calibration systems) to accurately assess and adjust vehicle systems.
Ensure that all repairs and calibrations meet the shop’s quality standards and adhere to manufacturer guidelines, providing a safe and functional vehicle to the customer.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Interest in the automotive industry and a passion for hands-on mechanical work.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
Basic knowledge of automotive tools and equipment is a plus, but not required.
Good manual dexterity and physical stamina; able to lift heavy parts and stand for long periods.
Valid G or G2 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
