The Refinish Technician is responsible for applying paint to repaired vehicles to restore their exterior appearance after a collision. They possess extensive knowledge of how to properly apply different types of paints, including sealers and primers. They also mix colours and complete processes such as sanding and blending to achieve a seamless finish.

Responsibilities include:

Inspecting vehicles and parts that require paint
Reading estimates and documenting repairs
Maintaining painting tools and equipment
Mixing paints and primers to exact specifications
Buffing paint imperfections
Matching and blending colours
Following quality standards to minimize defects
Working with other departments and technicians to ensure on-time delivery
