The Tire and Lube Technician required will be a highly skilled lube technician to maintain and service customers’ vehicles. As a lube technician, your duties involve generating comprehensive vehicle service reports, replacing wiper blades and car batteries, and replacing motor oil, brake fluid and transmission fluid as required. Additionally, you should ensure the cleanliness of vehicle interiors while conducting maintenance and servicing operations. In order to excel as a lube technician, one must possess proficient mechanical skills and follow all established safety protocols. A superior lube technician should also possess excellent communication abilities with clients and exhibit top-notch time management skills. Responsibilities include:

• Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
• Communicate directly with the customers to ensure are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Drain oil from the crankcase and refill with the required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the Auto Repair shop
• Keep the shop area neat and clean
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
