The Collision Estimator will guide customers through the process of getting their vehicle repaired after a collision. Acting as a liaison between the customer, insurance company, and parts vendors, they will ensure the repair process goes smoothly and is completed correctly. Their main responsibility is to create an accurate estimate that aligns with company policies and customer expectations. Additionally, they will organize a clear path for technicians to follow, ensuring accurate repairs.
Responsibilities include;
- Inspect vehicles for damage and evaluate using visual inspection, mechanical testing devices, road tests and information provided by the customer
- Evaluate the necessity and cost of repairs
- Collect insurance estimates after reviewing the damage
- Meet with customers to discuss damage, repair process and timeline and costs
- Create accurate estimates that detail repair and labour costs
- Maintain communication with customers and be available to answer questions throughout the repair process
- Keep a record of repair details and complete necessary paperwork

- Effectively manage multiple repairs
- Implement an effective quality check process by inspecting repaired vehicles and ensuring the repair is up to standard
- Complete final paperwork and payment with the customer
- Always provide exceptional customer service and create ongoing relationships with customers
